Morningside Opens Senior Sports Bar

In keeping with a national trend toward more casual, cozier dining for seniors, Morningside retirement community in Fullerton has unveiled a months-long renovation featuring the Pacific Lounge sports bar ad pizzeria, the Napa Wine Cellar an a new Crystal Deli offering “grab ‘n go” food options.

“Younger people are moving to retirement communities, and our dining room reflects what younger people want in the way of food options,” said Morningside Food and Beverage Director Shawn Noack. “Seniors are no different than anyone else. They’re interested in new trends in dining and they want lots of dining choices on a daily basis. Like all of us, some days you want a fun, casual environment, while other days you just want to grab a salad, soup or sandwich for a quick bite at home. We still offer sit-don dining with white napkins and tablecloths, but now we can offer so many more menus and choices.”
