Celebrate the grand opening of Brea Mall’s children’s Play Area, a completely new amenity for shoppers at the center, meant to enhance the customer experience and accommodate the growing community of Brea.
The new Play Area, located on the lower level near Macy’s, will include surrounding seating, a play house featuring a chalk board, and various cars, boats and plane play fixtures inspired by the Simon Kidgits Club characters. It is being installed the week of october 21 and will be unveiled during a grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. near Macy’s Court. The festivities are also meant to celebrate Brea Mall’s new Family Restrooms, which feature five changing stations, two nursing rooms and amenities for both adults and children. The family-style restrooms are located near the Play Area on the lower level.
In celebration of the Play Area, the first 200 children to attend the grand opening event will receive a swag bag of goodies and can also enjoy crafts, giveaways and an appearance by Clifford the Big Red Dog. Radio Disney is expected to bring the fun, with prizes, music and games.

To go along with the grand opening festivities, Brea Mall is hosting a trio of family-focused weekends through October:
- October 26: Play Area Opens (ribbon cutting, balloon drop, swag bags) and Fun Factory Event (range of fun, engaging activities for kids through a series of exciting “Destination Stations")
- November 2: GamePlay event in Center Court (kids can preview the hottest video games before they hit store shelves) and Kidgits Fall Into Fun event (face painting, crafts, entertainment and giveaways)
- November 8: Santa's arrival (ribbon cutting for the new Santa's set and storytime and snacks with Santa's Elf at the new Play Area)
