Pantera Elementary to Explore Math and Science During Fun Movie Night
Pantera Elementary School will hold a math and science movie night for community members on Oct. 8.

The Pantera Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will hold a math and science movie night for community members to learn about the new math standards, explore robotics and watch a movie under the stars starting at 6 p.m on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
In addition to the fun-filled night, a representative from Wells Fargo will present Pantera with a $12,000 grant check and a new copy machine it won through the bank’s philanthropy services.

Math specialist Grace Greenleaf will serve as the keynote speaker and present information on the Math Common Core State Standards in the cafeteria at 6 p.m.
Guest speakers from Diamond Ranch High School will present their robotics program and Ganesha High School students will hold a science exhibit in the quad area.

There will be a book fair in the library and sixth-graders will hold a snack sale. The movie, “Despicable Me 2,” will begin at about 7 p.m.
Pantera Elementary School is located at 801 Pantera Drive in Diamond Bar.
