Pomona Independent Student Film Festival Spurs Creativity at PUSD

Pomona Unified's second annual "PINDIE" Pomona Independent Student Film Festival will take place Saturday, May 23.

The Village on Indian Hill Theater’s big screen will come to life when Village Academy High School hosts the second annual “PINDIE” Pomona Independent Student Film Festival, showcasing student film projects created throughout the year through the visual and performing arts and technology pathways curriculum offered by Pomona Unified schools.

Admission is free.

WHERE: Village on Indian Hill Theaters, 1444 E. Holt Ave., Entrance #4, Pomona

The PINDIE festival – a combination of “Pomona” and “Independent” – features student film projects showcasing several visual and performing arts-related pathways offered through the Pomona Unified School District. At Village Academy, these pathways – which include Digital Video Media Production, Computer Programming and Game Design and Digital Art and Graphic Design – provide students with the professional tools and skills necessary to enter their respective industries through the mentorship and tutelage of working professionals.
