Pomona Man Arrested in Connection to String of Car Break Ins
Police received reports last month that numerous city and county code enforcement vehicles had been burglarized and vandalized.

POMONA, CA - A 32-year-old Pomona man was arrested in connection with a string of vehicular burglaries, police said Friday.
Police received reports last month that numerous city and county code enforcement vehicles had been burglarized and vandalized during the late night and early morning hours, said Pomona Police Department Sgt. Marcus Perez.
A probe by the department's Burglary Task Force led investigators to Seth Croy, Perez said.

Detectives visited Croy on Wednesday at 922 W. Second St., where he encountered authorities while possessing a stolen backpack, according to Perez.
One victim met up with investigators at the address and positively identified items Croy was accused of stealing from city vehicles, Perez said.

Croy was then arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property, Perez said.
The items Croy was accused of stealing included car batteries, PPD Lt. Chuck Becker told City News Service.
During their investigation, detectives found a number of other items reported missing, and are seeking additional victims who might have suffered losses in the incident.
