To date, the sale of over 70 colorful items has raised nearly $200, and will be combined matching funds from her parents, and mother’s employer, the Danaher Corporation.
The nationwide Feeding America hunger relief organization provides ten meals to families in need for every dollar donated.
“I’m so proud of Anjelica – she’s worked so hard to raise this money!” exclaimed teacher Christina Phillips.
"Quail Summit's motto is "The School with a Heart" and Anjelica has shown she has heart," said Principal Frances Weissenberger.
"She is an example that no matter the age, you can make a difference!"
