Record Crowds Say 'Farewell' To L.A. County Fair
Over 1 million people went through the gates of the Los Angeles County Fair in 2018. What did you eat while you were there?

POMONA, CA — Over than 1.25 million people passed through the turnstiles at this year's Los Angeles County Fair, 5 percent higher than last year's ticket sales, fair officials announced Monday.
The fair wrapped up its 19-day run on Sunday. Officials said attendance on opening weekend doubled from the previous year, helping to boost the overall attendance numbers.
As usual, fair-goers collectively downed a wide array of food and delicacies.

Fair officials said vendors served up:
- 8,000 pounds of hot dogs
- 2,500 pounds of pork belly
- 1,200 pounds of chicken wings
- 4,500 pounds of pecan-smoked sausage
- 110,000 slices of pepperoni
- 3,600 pounds of pizza dough
Not to mention, the gallons of beer, soda, chicken and waffles, doughnuts and other treats that were summarily devoured by fans of the fair.

Attendees also donated 73,818 cans of nonperishable food and 53,489 school supply items.
