Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Diamond Bar, Walnut 2020
If your live Christmas tree is looking more brown than green, it's time to get it out to the curb! Here is when and where to recycle.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — Is your tinsel looking a little less sparkly? Or your tree losing all of its needles? Live trees left too long after Christmas are a fire hazard, according to fire officials.
In Diamond Bar and across Los Angeles, your tree may be able to be picked up, curbside. According to the LA Department of Sanitation & Environment, there is a curbside collection for Christmas trees, making it convenient to properly and safely recycle your tree.
There are several options available to residents.

If it can't be picked up locally, there may be a drop off location where you can dispose of the tree responsibly.
If Christmas trees are collected in your area, please ensure your Christmas tree is prepared in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by following these guidelines:

- Trees should not exceed maximum length allowed for pickup and may require cutting
- Remove any tinsel, lights, or ornaments
- Leave your tree at the curb the night before your scheduled pickup day
- Please ensure that trees are not "flocked"
One-day drop off at Recreation and Park locations
Christmas trees can be dropped off on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at six Recreation and Park locations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Holiday wrapping and packaging materials will not be accepted, but those materials may be recycled.
"Holiday wrapping paper, cartons, cardboard, Styrofoam® and other expanded polystyrene products, plastics and gift boxes are also recyclable and should be placed in the blue bin," they said.
NOTE: It is illegal to place household hazardous waste, such as electronics (i.e. televisions and computers) and batteries into the collection bins. Please take those items to one of our S.A.F.E. Centers for safe disposal and recycling.
