Run or Walk To Register For Diamond Bar Fun Run!

The 2017 Fun Run for funds in Diamond Bar will enable the city to raise money for youth sports field, the community of Diamond Bar said.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — What is the best part of living in this community? Being outside, enjoying each other and raising money to make the community of Diamond Bar a better place.

For many, the lack of a sports park is a glaring need. Now, the Diamond Bar Community Foundation will host its second annual fun run to raise money to make sure there are more youth sports fields in Diamond

"The Diamond Bar Community Foundation is hosting its second annual 1K Run 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the South Coast AQMD, located at 21865 Copley Dr. in Diamond Bar," they said in recent release.

Funds raised from this event will be used to help alleviate the shortage of youth sports fields in the area.

"The 1k Run will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m.

There will be a Business/Fitness Expo, face painting and balloon artistry for the kids plus a DJ.

Special guest, Yolanda Holder, Guinness World Record Holder for the “Most Marathons Completed in One Year’ will be on hand to talk with community members about her life experiences.

Entrance fees for kids 12 and under are $20 early bird (+$10 Onsite) and $30 early bird for ages 13 and older (+$10 Onsite). Registration is at www.thedbcf.org.
