Sheriff's Blotter: Burglary Plea, Assaults, and a Theft Reported in Recent Crime

A Diamond Bar teen pleaded not guilty this week to several "hot prowl" burglaries July 25 at an apartment building in the city.

Martin Joshua Payton, an 18-year-old Diamond Bar resident, was arrested on suspicion of burglary after deputies received a call from a woman who woke up to find an unknown male in her apartment. His next court date is Aug. 19.

Other crimes reported July 24-30 included burglaries, assaults, and thefts.
