Site D, Commission Appointments to be Discussed During City Council Meeting

The Diamond Bar City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Tonight’s Diamond Bar City Council meeting will include a public hearing on the Site D Specific Plan, the presentation of certificates of recognition and appointments to the 2012 Planning, Parks and Recreation and Traffic and Transportation Commissions.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at 21865 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar.

The Site D public hearing is expected to start at around 6:45 p.m., and council is recommended to certify the environmental impact report and approve the mitigation reporting and monitoring program and adopt finding of fact for the January 2012 Site D Specific Plan. Site D is an area of about 30.36 acres at the southeast corner of Brea Canyon Road and Diamond Bar Boulevard.

Certificates of recognition will be presented to Boy Scout Troop #777 Scoutmaster Martin Cardenas for receiving the Silver Beaver Award, and to Atharshna Singarajah for being named Leo of the Year by the Lions Club International.

Items on the consent calendar include authorizing the purchase of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the new Diamond Bar library in an amount not to exceed $450,000 and adopting a resolution declaring property located at the southeasterly corner of Diamond Bar Boulevard and Brea Canyon Road as surplus property and authorizing the city manager to dispose of the property at fair market value.
