The Council is Set to Meet and Police Investigate a Robbery, Today Diamond Bar, Walnut

Here are a few things you might want to know in Diamond Bar/Walnut for today.
- A reminder that the Diamond Bar City Council will hold its regular meeting tonight starting at 6:30 p.m. The meetings have been temporarily been moved to City Hall’s Windmill Room, 21810 Copley Drive.
- Cal Poly Pomona is warning those who may be traveling near the campus of a strong-arm robbery. Check out the story here.
- It was hard thing to miss, but in case you did, an Amber Alert was issued for two missing children late last night. We have details.
- The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Risk Management Bureau / Traffic Services Detail will be conducting a specialized Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation on today in Walnut in an effort to continue lowering deaths and injuries. Extra deputies will be on duty patrolling areas frequented by motorcyclists and where motorcycle crashes occur, officials said.
- Story time for babies to preschoolers is scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Diamond Bar Library. The event features songs, stories, dancing and an art activity. This session will end August 20. For more information, visit the Los Angeles County Public Library website.
