Top 10 Honor for Local Publisher

The SAT is arguably the world’s most well-known standardized test. Chances are you’ve taken it. But if you took the test prior to 2016, know that things have drastically changed for today’s college-bound teens.

Upon learning about the New SAT, Diane Sartor, founder of Keystone Educational Publishers (KEP), decided to publish a study guide to prepare students for the New SAT. But one doesn’t simply decide to publish a study guide without understanding the competition first. Although she and her team are SAT experts with decades of experience, Sartor knew there would be challenges in preparing a guide for the new test. With long-standing companies to compete against, such as Kaplan and The College Board (the actual maker of the SAT), she wondered how KEP’s book, although rich in materials and backed by expertise, would stand against those produced by the educational giants. Publishing the SAT Study Guide would, by no means, be a walk in the park.

However, Sartor was so confident in the book’s content, the authors, and the editing team that she had no qualms about how the book would fare against the competition. No matter how the odds were stacked against KEP, Sartor was determined to publish KEP’s SAT Study Guide.

Sartor is also the director of ACI Institute in Diamond Bar, a test prep and educational center with long years of experience preparing students for the SAT. She had heard her students’ complaints about the study guides on the market and how they felt ripped off by certain companies. They simply wanted an adept guide that would give them their money’s worth, too. “I decided that I, with the help of my gifted writers, would publish an SAT study guide that all high school students could trust; and it would be done the right way.”

Sartor’s intuition about the book was accurate; the book is currently one of the top-ranking SAT study guides on Amazon, with a 4.5 star rating. The book has also been ranked 3rd on the list of Top 10 SAT books for 2016-2017 by TestStudyGuides.com. “This book is not written by one of the well-established test prep companies,” says Test Study Guides, “but its quality far exceeds that of various more well-known competitors. SAT Study Guide is a quality find and a hidden gem (with a very reasonable price). We think it’s one of the best SAT prep books.”

Sartor, as confident in her product as ever, stated that she wasn’t surprised by the recognition, but had this to say about it: “I’m thrilled that our team’s efforts have been nationally recognized.”
