Information evenings at local Walnut elementary school. Vejar Elementary
California Distinguished School, Vejar Elementary School serves approximately 580 students from Transitional Kindergarten through fifth grade. Students eligible for Transitional Kindergarten turn five between September 2 and December 2 and receive a quality educational experience. All classes at the school, under the leadership of Principal Jennifer De Anda, are taught by highly qualified and excellent teachers.
Vejar’s principal and teachers are hosting a school-wide Open House on Thursday, May 7, showcasing STEAM academics and achievements. Parents, family, and friends are all invited. Guests who would like to know more about Vejar are welcome as well. “We are proud and excited to open our school to the community. Our students and teachers work hard every day to master the common core standards. It is an honor to showcase our hard work to all!” Mrs. De Anda said.
Visitors will learn about Vejar’s programs and facilities while enjoying the outstanding student projects on display in classrooms. An “are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” interactive environment will be open in the MPR. Challenge yourself with games covering the fifth grade curriculum. The Open House will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Food will be sold and proceeds will benefit the school and its programs.
