VIDEO: Huff Talks Budget Revenues, Pension Reform

Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff, R-Diamond Bar, released his weekly Capitol Comment on Friday.

In his Capitol Comment this week, Senate Republican Leader Bob Huff, R-Diamond Bar, touches on falling budget revenues, public pension reform efforts, and committee hearings.

On the budget front, earlier this week, State Controller John Chiang revealed that revenues for March were below Governor Jerry Brown’s budget projections: the state collected $5.4 billion, about $233.5 million less than predicted.

Huff also spent the week sending letters to the chairs of the Legislature’s Conference Committee on Public Employee Pensions, asking them to approve Brown’s 12-point public pension reform plan.
