Hello all!
Walk For Kids is a 5K (3.1 mile) walk designed to raise funds and awareness for the services and programs provided by Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. Walkers come together for a day of fun, food, entertainment and giveaways.
This weekend our whole family will be walking to raise money for this wonderful organization.
Trust me when I say that I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't know first hand that this organization is making a difference in peoples lives.

We should know because they've made a tremendous difference in ours lives during Adin's three and half year battle with Leukemia.
He was diagnosed at age 5 (his little sis was only 3). He is now 8 years old, and last month was his last chemo treatment.

He is now in complete remission!
It was a very dark time for our family. Our day-to-day preoccupation was keeping our child alive, trying not to neglect our healthy child, and trying to keep our sanity in the process.
When you have a child with a life-threatening illness you can feel very isolated and alone.
We are so very grateful for how Camp helped us feel connected again, as individuals and as a family.
All the volunteers are exactly that, volunteers that offer to be there without getting paid. Their service and giving spirit still amazes me.
They provided moments of relief in an otherwise impossible situation.
Now that Adin has completed his chemo journey, it is a privilege to get the opportunity to give back and help others experience a little bit of that same respite we enjoyed during our battle.
And to be perfectly honest, I may not be their biggest fan when it comes to their food, BUT the services they are providing for families with sick kids, is beautiful!
Please believe me when I say that NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL!
