Walnut Dial-A-Cab Rates Go Into Effect Monday

Fees for using the city of Walnut's Dial-A Cab program will increase Monday.

Earlier this month, the Walnut City Council voted 5-0 to bump up the rates, citing cost overruns to the program in recent years. The vote also ended the portion of the program for the general public, restricting it to senior and disabled residents only.

One-way rates within the city limits remain $1.  Trips five miles outside of the city  and to an approved medical facilities will be $3.  A ride to the Ontario Airport is now $5.
