1 Dead In Crash North Of Dixon; 3 Others Injured: CHP

BREAKING: The collision between two vehicles happened on Putah Creek Road Wednesday afternoon.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — One person died and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at the northern edge of Solano County, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision between a white Nissan Sentra and a black Ford F150 was reported at 4:15 p.m. on Putah Creek Road west of Stevenson Bridge Road, north of Dixon.

The crash occurred as the Nissan, being driven by a male, was traveling west at a high rate of speed on Putah Creek, with the Ford truck ahead of him also driven by a male and at a high rate of speed, CHP Officer Dave Harvey stated in a news release.

CHP determined that the right front of the Nissan collided with the left rear of the Ford, sending the Ford off the right shoulder and into a tree. The truck's left side hit the tree, fatally injuring the driver, Harvey said.
