2 Dixon Firefighters Treated At Hospital
Breaking: The firefighters were reportedly taken by ambulance from the scene of a structure fire.

DIXON, CA -- Two Dixon firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion and released from a hospital Friday, Dixon Fire Department Division Chief Dean Sarley said.
They were among responders to a fire that destroyed an abandoned two-story residence at Jones Lane and state Highway 113. The cause is under investigation but there was evidence of squatter activity at the house,
Sarley said.
The two-alarm fire two miles outside Dixon city limits was reported around 9:30 a.m. and knocked down at 11:16 a.m.

Firefighters from Vacaville, the Vacaville Fire Protection District, Montezuma Fire Protection District, Rio Vista and U.C. Davis responded.
Sarley said the property owners want to remove structures on the site and plant a nut orchard.

ORIGINAL POST: Two Dixon firefighters who responded to a structure fire south of town Friday morning were taken to a hospital possibly for heat-related reasons, a fire spokeswoman said.
The Dixon Fire Department responded to the two-alarm structure fire at Jones Lane and state Highway 113 around 9:30 a.m., administrative manager Andi Horigan said.
Two ambulances were called to the scene, and the fire was knocked down at 11:16 a.m.
Firefighters were mopping up late this morning, Horigan said.

Firefighters from Vacaville, the Vacaville Fire Protection District and Rio Vista also responded, Horigan said.
