2 Motorcyclists Killed On Hwy 113 Near Dixon Are Identified
The Solano County coroner's office has identified two motorcycle riders who were killed in a collision with a vehicle on state Highway 113.

VACAVILLE - The Solano County coroner's office has identified two motorcycle riders who were killed in a collision with a vehicle on state Highway 113 near Dixon on Saturday afternoon.
The crash victims are Malinda Ann Averell-Kalis, 45, of Vacaville, and Jamaal Tyrone Abron, 29, of Stockton, according to the coroner's office.
Averell-Kalis was riding on a 2013 Yamaha R6 motorcycle and Abron was riding on a 2012 Kawasaki south on Highway 113 in unincorporated Solano County near Hay Road east of Vacaville around 4:50 p.m. Saturday, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Both were traveling approximately 55 mph when they struck the front of a 2010 Dodge Charger driven by Shatora Watley, 36, of Vacaville, who allegedly failed to yield to the motorcyclists and began turning left from northbound Highway 113 at 5 to 10 mph in front of them onto westbound Hay Road, according to the CHP.
Crews from the Dixon Fire Department and Solano County Emergency Medical Services responded and gave first aid to the motorcycle riders, CHP officials said.

Averell-Kalis and Abron were ejected from their motorcycles onto the roadway.
Averell-Kalis was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:02 p.m. and Abron was pronounced dead at 7:20 p.m.
Watley and a male passenger in the Dodge were taken to a hospital but have since been released, CHP officials said.

Alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the collision, according to the CHP.
