Acclaimed Singer Booked For Davis Family Concert

Music Together of Davis is hosting a family concert featuring international recording artist “Uncle Gerry” Dignan on Sunday, Aug. 24 in Davis.

The concert will feature singing and dancing to popular Music Together songs, along with Dignan, who is featured on the music CDs known to families who take Music Together classes.

Dignan has recorded with Grammy-nominated cellist, David Darling, and has contributed to the work of Music for People (David Darling, co-founder), an organization dedicated to self-expression through improvisational music. He was also a member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and performed at the Concerthalle in Berlin, Germany, as well as in New York at Carnegie Hall.

“We are honored to welcome Uncle Gerry to the Bay Area to sing and dance with us for these very special concerts. We hope many families will come out and enjoy a fun program of music with their children, all for a good cause” said Sing-Dance-Play Music Together’s Director, Elina Coulter.

The Davis concert will be at 4 p.m. at Congregation Bet Haverim (in the Social Hall), 1715 Anderson Rd..

Profits from the concert will benefit Music Together of Davis’ Scholarship Fund & Gan Haverim Preschool.
