Agenda For Thursday's Tree Lighting In Downtown Dixon

Please join us THIS Thursday, Dec. 4th in Downtown Dixon for our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival from 4:00 to 8:00pm. There are lots of Holiday activities scheduled, and Children can get their chance to personally talk & tell Santa Claus what they want for Christmas, inside The Olde Vets Hall, and parents can take their own pictures!

In the Women’s Improvement Club Park, by the Dixon Public Library, will be the Dixon Volunteer Fire Fighter’s Assoc. who will once again be keeping the cozy “Fire Pit” going and providing free hot apple cider. The Dixon Police Dept. along w/their Cadet’s will be handing out free hot coco. The Dixon Quarterback Club will be fundraising selling Roundtable Pizza and waters. There will be an adorable free Petting Zoo too! Then, on the stage outside, for your Holiday entertainment will be:

Also, INSIDE the Dixon Public Library there are 2 Holiday Puppet Show’s and Sing-along at 5:00 and 6:00pm. All ages welcome!http://dixonlibrary.com/calendar

And everyone’s favorite is the free Horse-drawn Carriage Rides going on at the corner lot at A and 1st Street, with the assistance of the Dixon’s Grange Club. There will be a “Coast for KIDS” drop-off hosted by the Dixon Girl Scouts Troop#1933.

Inside the Olde Vet’s Hall, where Santa is, you will find free Popcorn & Starbucks Coffee provided by the Dixon Boy Scouts Troop #152. Along with the Crafters and Vendors inside is the Dixon Girls Softball Assoc. fundraising selling Hot Dogs, Nacho’s, and waters. The DC to DC group will also be fundraising selling SEES CANDY!
