Alleged Vacaville Bank Robber Arrested Within 5 Minutes: Police

BREAKING: Officers were given a description of the suspect and his vehicle.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of an armed robbery of a bank inside a supermarket in Vacaville on Tuesday afternoon, police said. Darius Johnson, a Vacaville resident, was arrested after the robbery was reported at 3:05 p.m. at the Wells Fargo branch inside the Lucky Supermarket at 777 E. Monte Vista Ave., according to police.

Officers were given a description of the suspect and his vehicle, a red SUV, and spotted the vehicle about five minutes later in the area of Merchant Street and Alamo Drive, police said.

Police pulled over the vehicle and the driver, Johnson, matched the description of the suspect from the robbery. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and booked into Solano County Jail.
