1. Dixon United Methodist Women’s Annual Spring Tea –
Where/When: Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 North Jefferson, Dixon, Saturday, March 12 at 11:30 a.m.

Why Go: ‘The Wonderful World of Tea’ presentation by Dr. Kristina Wiley, owner of the Linde Lane Tea Room here in Dixon. Her talk will be about the different kinds of teas, their history, and tea traditions. This is a delightful time with great food, entertainment, and lots of door prizes.

2. Soroptimist Annual Antique Show /Sale
Where/When: Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13 all day at the Dixon May Fair, 655 South First Street.
Why Go: It will take you back in time! There is plenty of old things and collectibles, refreshments and friends.

3. 2011 Capay Valley’s Almond Festival
Where/When: In towns of Esparto,Capay, Brooks, Guinda, and Rumsey on Sunday, March 13.
Why Go: Something for everyone including petting zoos, craft fairs, old fire engine displays, baked goods, food vendors, live music, children’s play area, 10K Fun Run and Cow Plot Bingo.

4. Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers Association Big Dog Show
Where/When: Dixon May Fairgrounds, 655 South First Street on Saturday, March 12, starts at 7 a.m.
Why Go: AKC sanctioned B Match and Obedience Workshop is great to watch and observe.
Pricing: No admission but may be parking fee.
5. California Delta Chambers Masquerade Mardi Gras Ball at the Historic Ryde Hotel.
Where/When: California 160 in Walnut Grove. Saturday, March 12, 7 - 11 p.m.
Why Go: Dinner and Dancing (No Host Bar). Dinner Menu includes Salad, Roasted Stuffed Pork Tenderloin, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Cake. Entertainment 7:20 to 8 p.m. Delta Paranormal Investigator will speak on ghosts of the Delta and Spirits that inhabit the Ryde Hotel. Dance Music by Ralph The Hat, 8:30 - 11 p.m.
