(independentvoice.com) — Dixon City Council has imposed a 45-day moratorium on new data centers and battery energy storage projects while it considers a longer, two-year pause. The move responds to large battery proposals just west of Dixon and near the Vaca-Dixon substation, and raises questions about how much control the city retains as state regulators increasingly fast-track clean energy infrastructure.
