(independentvoice.com) — Dixon residents should know their City Council has enacted a 45-day moratorium on new data centers and large battery energy storage projects while it considers a longer, two-year pause. The move responds to massive battery proposals just west of town and in nearby Vacaville, and to a state law that can override local bans, raising concerns about safety, farmland impacts, and loss of local control.
