Arson Suspected In Vacaville Apartment Fire

The fire was Monday morning on Gable Avenue.

Arson is suspected in a fire that burned an apartment in Vacaville early this morning, a Vacaville police sergeant said. Police responded to the fire in the 100 block of Gable Avenue at 1:32 a.m.

The fire burned a fence and spread to the rear of the apartment’s eaves and attic, Sgt. Steve Carey said. Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze and kept it from spreading to adjacent buildings, Carey said.

A fire investigator determined the fire was intentionally set, and the Vacaville Fire Department and police detectives are working to solve the arson, Carey said.
