Ian Arnold: Let's Keep This Election Clean!

Political signs are disappearing or being damaged in Dixon. Is this really the way Dixonites want elections to be run?

All but one of my signs on Stratford between Newgate and N. Lincoln were gone today. I'd say it was just kids walking along and vandalizing property, but other signs remain, and the large sign would have taken a little bit more time and energy.

I've replaced most of the small signs; hopefully the large sign will show up so I can replace it.

On occassion, I've come across one of my opponents' signs laying in the street and I've placed it back in the lawn. Likewise, one of my opponents delivered a couple of signs to me that he'd found in the street after a minor weather event. Another of my opponents called me to alert me that one of my signs was wind-damaged.
Let's keep this election clean! If you see someone interfering with a political sign, please use your smartphone to take a picture of the cretin.

The signs may not seem like much, but they're expensive and they're paid for with donations from supporters. Essentially, people who are stealing or destroying signs are stealing the money some of you donated.
