By the end of the day, March 15th, the Team will move into planning stage. Friday is the very last date for property owners holding out to agree to terms to sell their land. Once Friday passes, the footprint of the project will be set in stone over the weekend.

In order to move forward on the planning and approval phase, a project concept has to be submitted with the $100K fee to start the review process. That means no adding land to change the foot print. The Team will need to work with both the City and County to develop the time line for the approval process. With that timeline the escrow can be funded and then the property purchased.

Once the above is completed, the information from that activity can then be rendered into information for the public to review. That would start the public information meetings and provide the foundation for the project’s website.

The public information meeting will be more of a town hall style meeting where we will exchange information. Carissa has stated she wants public input on how the project will look and function. The public will have great opportunity to provide input on the buffer space. We have a wide range of ideas based on the needs of Dixon and the people living around the area. The meetings will also provide the amount of infrastructure and revenue the project will provide. Projections on employment will be very general at first.
