Volunteer Group – May 2012
As a community hospital, Sutter Davis Hospital relies on the heartfelt efforts of volunteers to help create an atmosphere of healing within and beyond its walls.
The Sutter Davis Hospital Auxiliary is a dedicated group of men and women of all ages who provide a variety of volunteer services for the Sutter Davis Hospital,
including: Operating the Information Desk and the Gift Shop; assisting with patients and their families in various departments; conducting fund-raising and
social activities related to the hospital and providing support to hospital-sponsored special events and health screening.

The Sutter Davis Hospital Auxiliary is seeking students aged 16 and over to
volunteer at the hospital during the summer. Interviews will be scheduled in
mid-May. Student volunteers will be required to attend a 4-hour training
session and work a minimum of two hours per week from June 24 through August 5. Application forms and details may be found at sutterdavis.org/about/auxiliary.html.
Free blood pressure screening clinic on Wednesdays from 10
am to 12 noon, in the Hospital Lobby.

The work of twenty local artists is on exhibit in the main hallways of Sutter Davis Hospital. Featured through the end of May are pastel portraits by Joanne Jensen. Funds raised by the sale of the work supports scholarships for young people entering the medical field.
