Dixon has assumed operation and maintenance of the current Dixon-Solano Water Authority (DSWA) water system. Severn Trent Services has been retained as the contract water operator.

The Water Code requires City Council resolution to set fees and rates for the various services associated with the City water system. Resolution 14-107 adopted July 22, 2014 established the same rates and fees in effect with DSWA.
