Effective June 04, 2020, the City of Dixon dog park located in Hall Park will reopen with social distancing regulations. The City of Dixon is cautioning all users to maintain safe social distances when visiting the dog park. Dog park users are reminded per COVID-19 social distancing requirements to remain at least 6 feet apart, not to pet other people’s dogs and it is recommended that they wear face coverings when social distancing with people outside of their household cannot be achieved.
Dog Park patrons are asked to bring and use personal hand sanitizer, continue good hygiene practices and follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on COVID-19 as hand washing is not available at the dog park. Dog park users are also asked to provide their own means to sanitize gate openings and common metal surfaces and should sanitize those surfaces before and after each use.

As off-leash dogs tend to group together, often leading their owners to convene as well, social distancing may be difficult. We hope to keep our dog park open and can only do so if dog park users follow the recommended guidelines and do not conjugate in numbers greater than 10.
