College Classes to Be Taught in Dixon
Get a jump on the degree you've always dreamed of earning.

Solano Community College (SCC) and Dixon Unified School District have established a partnership to offer college courses open to the public at Dixon High School.
Beginning August 13, 2014, select classes, taught by SCC Professors, will be open to all that are interested in taking college courses in Dixon.
The classes offered at the high school this Fall semester (August through December) are Nutrition, Counseling, and Spanish I and II. Registration is STILL open to the public!

“Offering college courses in Dixon is a great way to engage the community and foster excitement surrounding higher education,” shared Dr. Jowel Laguerre, SCC Superintendent-President. “Providing classes that are transferable to 4-year universities, offered at times that are feasible for high school students and working adults is our commitment to the residents of Dixon and neighboring cities. We hope the public is excited about the opportunity this partnership brings and takes advantage of the College offerings open to them at Dixon High School!”

· Counseling 007- College Study Techniques- Tuesday and Thursday, 2:10pm- 3:25pm
· Nutrition 010- Nutrition- Monday, 6:00pm – 8:50pm
· Spanish 031- First Semester Spanish, Part I- Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30pm – 6:45pm
· Spanish 032- First Semester Spanish, Part II- Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00pm – 8:15pm

About Solano Community College:
The College has served as the preeminent educational institution in Solano County since 1945 when it was founded as Vallejo Junior College. In the early 1970s, the College moved to its present Fairfield site, and is presently serving over 20,000 students throughout the academic year.
