Coroner IDs Woman Killed In Weekend Hwy 12 Crash

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- The Solano County coroner's office has identified a woman who died after a three-car collision on state Highway 12 in Fairfield on Saturday as 82-year-old Luisa Paragas.

Paragas, a Fairfield resident, was pronounced dead at the NorthBay Medical Center at 12:07 p.m. Saturday, a coroner's office spokeswoman said.

The collision happened around 11:20 a.m. when a 2016 Honda CR-V collided with the rear of a 2013 Ford F-150 truck on eastbound Highway 12 just west of Beck Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer David Harvey
said.

The Ford truck then struck the back of a 2000 Jeep Laredo. Paragas was riding in the left rear seat of the Honda at the time of the collision, Harvey said.

The Honda driver and three occupants of the Ford truck suffered minor injuries and no one in the Jeep was injured, Harvey said.
