Crab Feed & Country Music Coming Soon To Woodland, For A Good Cause, Too

Yolo County Sheriff's Posse hosts Nov. 8 Crab Feed to benefit search and rescue training.

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Posse will host a Crab Feed on Saturdayevening, November 8, in Waite Hall, at the Yolo County Fairgrounds, 1250 East Gum Avenue, Woodland.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with no-host cocktails and games, and dinner is served at 7 p.m. The Jim Hunter Band will perform country-western dance music and a drawing for gun prizes will follow.

The meal features crab, shrimp, salad, bread, and pasta with marinara sauce.

Dinner tickets are $45 per person. Those wishing to buy a table of eight will have a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine on their reserved table.

The fundraising dinner is to support the Yolo County Sheriff’s Posse in its search and rescue training.

The organization is not government funded; the members are volunteers and their personal mounts. Members are dedicated to helping the community or providing mutual aid should the need arise

The volunteer group also provides patrols at the Yolo County Fair and support at the U.S. Marine’s Toys for Tots program and public safety awareness events. Posse members have assisted flood-impacted citizens during disasters by working at the Woodland fairgrounds and in flooded areas to remove animals.
