The Dixon May Fair will feature Martha Davis and The Motels in their Friday night concert during this year’s Fair, May 7-10.

Singer/songwriter Martha Davis, who was born and raised in Berkeley, burst onto the New Wave music scene on Sunset Strip with The Motels and was immediately signed to Capitol Records. Davis took a hiatus from the music scene in 1988 to β€œfind my sense of humor again,” but continued to write and collaborate with other artists and write songs for two musicals. The band started touring again in 2012, including a gig at the legendary Hollywood Bowl and joining the Go-Go’s for a summer tour in 2014. They will arrive in Dixon after a Spring tour on the East Coast.

β€œWe’ve had success with our Friday night concerts featuring country artists the past two years, and this year we wanted to offer something for our classic rock fans,” said Patricia Conklin, CEO of the Dixon May Fair. β€œBeing able to offer entertainment that is included in Fair admission, by acts who have had success on the music charts, is our goal. Providing affordable entertainment for families is a key mission of the Dixon May Fair.”
