Dixon May Fair: Dates For Required Ear Tagging, Paperwork

Upcoming sessions set for youth livestock exhibitors.

From the Dixon May Fair:

All youth who intend to exhibit market steers, market sheep and goats at the Dixon May Fair May 7-10 must bring their animals for ear tagging and pre-weigh-ins.

Market steer tagging will be held Sunday, January 11th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and market sheep and market goats will be tagged on Saturday, March 7 between 9:00 a.m. and 12 Noon.

Exhibitors will need to submit entry forms and pay fees the day of tagging.

Youth intending to exhibit market swine must have their swine tagged by March 6, 2015. Advisors, leaders and parents of swine exhibitors need to come to the Fair office to pick up their ear tags between February 23 to March 4.

Paperwork must be returned to the Fair office no later than March 6 at 5 p.m. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
