Update: ID Released For Sacramento Man Killed in I-80 Crash

DIXON, CA — The Solano County coroner's office has identified a driver who died Wednesday night when his vehicle crashed into a truck parked on the shoulder of Interstate Highway 80 in Dixon as Jaime Escalante, 50, of Sacramento.

Escalante was driving a 1997 Honda east on Highway 80 east of Kidwell Road around 10 p.m. when it drifted to the right shoulder and struck an unoccupied 2004 Ford F-650 truck, California Highway Patrol officials
said.

Escalante was pronounced dead at 10:25 p.m., a coroner's office spokeswoman said.
