Dixon Patch Viewfinder: Old Man Wind Blew Hard on Tuesday
Photos show the power of wind
On Tuesday, the predictions were for sustained winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 45-50 miles per hour. The wind farms south of town must've generated a lot of electricity for PG&E.
A walk around Dixon Tuesday morning revealed the effects of the strong winds. Most revealing was a heavy Recology plastic trash cart which was blown down Pembroke Way for two blocks. Check out the photos to see Dixon fared.
