Drive-By Shooting Under Investigation In Vacaville

BREAKING: Witnesses said the vehicle involved appeared to be a gray or blue Expedition with the shooter being a man in his 30s, police said.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Police in Vacaville are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening, police said.

Just after 7 p.m., officers were called to the 1100 block of Callen Street on a report of a possible drive-by shooting.

According to police, witnesses reported seeing a gray Ford Expedition drive up to the front of a home and an Hispanic man, possibly in his 30s, exit the passenger side of the SUV. The man then appeared to fire one shot,
return to the vehicle, then drive out of the area.

Officers arrived within seconds, secured the area and spoke to multiple witnesses on the scene. Officers quickly located evidence of a shooting, police said.

According to police, it does not appear that anyone was injured or struck by gunfire.

After reviewing evidence, including surveillance camera footage, police believe the SUV is either blue or gray in color.
