Dyer's 3-pointer Helps Dixon Girls Grab Share of Second Place in GEL Play
Rams knock off Capital Christian, 39-36

SACRAMENTO -- Dixon High pulled into a tie for second place in the Golden Empire League Girls' Basketball standings on Tuesday, defeating host Capital Christian, 39-36.
Carlene Dyer scored 10 points to pace Dixon. She connected on a 3-point shot to give the Rams the lead in the final minutes.
The Rams improve to 5-2 in the GEL, tied with Capital Christian. West Campus of Sacramento leads the league with a 6-1 mark. The leader has beaten Dixon twice this season.

Dixon is 15-9 overall as it prepares to visit Lindhurst (3-4 GEL) on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Samantha Del Mugnaio, Madison Dwelley and Marisha Vela scored seven points apiece for the Rams in the win over Capital Christian.

The Rams host Marysville (1-6 GEL) on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m., then conclude the GEL season on Feb. 18 at home at 6:30 p.m. verus Mesa Verde (1-6).
Dixon JV 45, Capital Christian 35: Alexis Tyhurst netted 12 points as the Rams improved to 21-2 overall and 7-0 in the Golden Empire League.
