Easy Peezy Orange Cleaner- AKA Cave Baby Safe Multipurpose Cleaner

It is that time of the year when my kid’s favorite snack is in season. That’s right it’s Cutie Season! If you are not familiar with cuties they are little tangerines and they are super easy to peel. My kids love them because they are small and easy to peel and it doesn’t require any help for me. I often find them stashed in my daughter Lucia’s purses. HaHa. The only down side to them is the constant trail of orange peels I find on a daily basis. Haha. Luckily I have a solution for all of the orange peels. I use them to infuse vinegar and use it as my multi-purpose cleaner. I have been using vinegar to clean with for about 10 years. After I had my son Noah I read an article about the dangers of using house hold chemicals to clean with. It is really scary the terrible side effects that your everyday household cleaners can have on your family and the environment. Vinegar is a great cleaning agent and it is safe. In fact it is so safe I let my own cave babies clean with it. When I first started cleaning with vinegar, I used to put essential oils in in to make it smell better and to aid in the antibacterial properties, although, vinegar pretty much kills anything it comes into contact with so the essential oils are not really necessary but I do like the way they smell.

About a year ago I came across a pinterest that showed how to infuse vinegar with orange peels. I was so excited because I finally had something to do with all of the orange peels we have on a regular basis. I am going to share the recipe with you today. It is so easy and it smells so good, you will be wondering why you never thought to do this before. I know I did

White Vinegar

  1. Take a large jar and fill it with orange peels.
  2. Cover the orange peels with vinegar
  3. Put a top on the jar and let it sit for at least 2 weeks
  4. When you are ready to use, get a spray bottle and fill it ¼ of the way with the vinegar solution and the rest with water.
  5. You are now ready to clean everything!
use this cleaner to clean the kitchen counters, stove, bathtub, toilet, sinks, shower, floors, dusting, windows and mirrors, pretty much anything that needs to be cleaned. My girls love to clean the tables and dust with it because it smells so good. If you need a little extra scrubbing power for things like, the floor or the shower, you can sprinkle a little baking soda on the area and then spray the vinegar solution and it works great!

Let me know how it works for you.
