'Empty Bowls' Fundraiser Coming Up To Fight Hunger In Solano County
All for a great cause and a "souper" good time!

CONTRA COSTA and SOLANO COUNTIES, CA – Each year the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano hosts an event designed to increase awareness of hunger issues. The event, called “Empty Bowls,” is a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community.
This year the event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Food Bank warehouse in Concord at 4010 Nelson Ave.
This casual event is for all ages and has all the ingredients for a "souper" event of community, education and fun. Guests are invited to enjoy a simple meal of delicious soup and bread served up in a hand-crafted bowl, which will be kept as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.
