The Hipwaders have been performing for years and they are going to host an evening in Town Square on Thursday July 21 st @ 6 pm. They have a new CD that they will be presenting that night for all to hear. Bring the kids, have dinner, enjoy some ice cream and have fun in the Heart Of The City!
The Hipwaders are a showcase for the kid-friendly songwriting of Tito Uquillas. In 2004, the band received a Parent’s Choice Award for their first album, “The Smile Project”. The Hipwaders’ official self-titled debut album also won a Parents’ Choice Award and the band was nominated by XM Satellite Radio as one of the best new kid’s music acts of 2005.
In 2007, The Hipwaders released the album, “Educated Kid”, and performed at the Lollapalooza Festival, in Chicago. The album was voted #5 best album of the year in the “Fids and Kamily” poll. The title track went to #1 on the XMKids Radio and the band was invited to perform live at XM Satellite Studios in Washington DC.
