The Solano College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be conducting a free seminar with funding from the City of Fairfield on "How to Compete With Large Retailers".
Participants will discover ways to boost profitability by influencing shoppers' behavior. The seminar will provide techniques built on the basics of sound business practice to give retailers a special edge over the competition with a focus on how to compete with the large retailers. Using the language of the retailer, this seminar will help participants master the best of these powerful techniques.
Participants will also learn:
- How to set the right prices for merchandise and services,
- Increase the size of the shopper's total purchase,
- Change item and brand preferences to better alternatives.
Each seminar participant will also receive a copy of the "Retailers Edge" book.
