DIXON, CA — A 64-year-old Dixon woman died and three other people were injured Tuesday morning in a collision on an Interstate Highway 80 onramp in Dixon, authorities with the Dixon Fire Department and California Highway Patrol said. The crash was reported at about 9:50 a.m. on the Milk Farm Road onramp to westbound I-80, according to CHP.
According to CHP Spokesman David Harvey, the Dixon woman was driving a black Honda CR-V northbound on state Highway, approaching the eastbound I-80 onramp, when her car turned to the left and entered the offramp, traveling the wrong way, against traffic, just prior to entering the onramp.
"The Honda then traveled across the raised dirt shoulder, became airborne, traveled over eastbound I-80, and over the raised center divide, where the front of the Honda collided with the left front of a Dodge Dart that was traveling on I-80 westbound, in the number one lane," Harvey said.

The Honda rolled several times before coming to rest on the north shoulder of I-80 westbound.
The Dodge, driven by a Fair Oaks man, continued westbound for about one mile before coming to rest, Harvey said.

The Dixon woman driving the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Her identity will be released by the Solano County Coroner's Office once her family members are properly notified.
Three people in the Dodge were all taken to Kaiser Vacaville hospital. The male driver and his female front-seat passenger suffered minor injuries, while a 9-year-old boy riding in the back seat suffered moderate injuries.
Firefighters from Dixon, Vacaville and Davis all responded to the collision, Dixon fire Chief Greg Lewis said.
At 10:35 a.m., CHP reported that a Sig-Alert was in effect and the freeway onramp at Milk Farm Road in Dixon was closed.
The ramp was reopened just before noon.
