Coroner Identifies Vacaville Teen Killed In Lyon Road Crash
A 19-year-old Vacaville resident died and two other people suffered major injuries in the wreck Tuesday in unincorporated Solano County.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA β A 19-year-old Vacaville woman died and two other people were injured in a crash late Tuesday afternoon in unincorporated Solano County just outside of Vacaville, officials with the California Highway Patrol said. The wreck was reported at 4:34 p.m. on Lyon Road west of Blue Mountain Drive. Two sedans β a silver 2000 BMW 328i and a red 2015 Hyundai Elantra β collided as the BMW was traveling westbound on Lyon but crossed into the eastbound lane, directly in the path of the Hyundai, according to CHP Spokesman David Harvey.
The front of the Hyundai collided with the passenger side of the BMW, ejecting the fatally injured victim from the car. She died at the scene, and after her family was properly notified she was identified by Solano County coroner's officials as Carly Hutchings.
The driver of the BMW, a 19-year-old Vacaville man, and the driver of the Hyundai, a 29-year-old Vacaville woman, both suffered major injuries, Harvey said. They were assisted out of their cars by other motorists, then taken by emergency personnel to NorthBay Medical Center, he said.
