Fire Breaks Out On I-80 In Vacaville
The fire on westbound Interstate Highway 80 was causing traffic backups to the 505, CHP and Caltrans reported.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A brush fire broke out Wednesday afternoon on Interstate Highway 80 in Vacaville. The fire was initially reported at about 3:10 p.m. on westbound I-80 at Cherry Glenn Road, according to California Highway Patrol and Caltrans.
Lane closures were in effect, resulting in severe traffic backups to Interstate Highway 505, CHP reported.
A Sigalert was issued at 4 p.m. Wednesday because of the fire, with no estimated time of reopening.
