Firefighters Make Meaty Donation To Vacaville Shelter
The huge supply of meat was reportedly delivered Monday.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Folks at Opportunity House in Vacaville have plenty of meat to feast upon, thanks to the efforts of a local 4-H group and members of the Vacaville Fire Department, it was reported this week.
Firefighters made a special delivery Monday to the homeless shelter when they came bearing boxes full of meat that a shelter administrator said should last at least a month. According to a story by The Reporter, the Vacaville firefighters, through the Vacaville City Firefighters Charity Fund, purchased several animals at the Dixon May Fair auction.
The animals, which included hogs, quail and a turkey, were raised by a local 4-H group, according to the news report.
