Free Post St. Paddy's Brunch Today at the Dixon Veterans Hall

The brunch is courtesy of Dixon's American Legion Post 208.

What are you doing this Sunday morning, after St. Patrick's Day night? How about going to a free brunch, open to the public, courtesy of the Dixon American Legion Post 208 as the last free promotion before the weekly brunch starts charging?

Starting March 25, the charge for the all-you-can-eat complete breakfast buffet will be only $6.

This week, however it is still free as part of the promotion setting up the weekly offering. According to the Veteran's Hall Manager, Greg Coppes, "We had a bigger crowd than we expected for the first trial run last week. As a matter of fact I had to go out and get more eggs."

The breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, biscuit, gravy, and coffee or juice, all free again today.

Coppes added the time will be the same, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and the all are welcome.

Coppes said the visitors last week numbered more than expected but came in spread through the serving time so there never was over crowding.

He added, "Once we go over 100 people the meals will only continue while supplies last. He said, "Everyone in attendance last week had nothing but great things to say about the food which is why we are having a second free week before we start the nominal charge on the 25th. The is located at 1305 North First Street in Dixon. For further information call the Hall at 707-678-6308 or email tedhick@gmail.com.
